Calories In, Calories Out

 

CICO, or "Calories In, Calories Out," is a simple principle used in nutrition and weight management. It refers to the balance between the calories a person consumes (calories in) through food and drink and the calories the body uses (calories out) for daily activities, exercise, and bodily functions like metabolism.
